Frequently asked questions

This 2012 Isuzu D-MAX is 8-15 years old — value-priced daily-driver territory. Mechanical condition matters far more than cosmetics at this age. Ask for the most recent timing-belt/chain interval, suspension work, and any major repairs. A documented one-owner D-MAX in this range is a stronger buy than a higher-trim with unknown history.

This listing falls in the typical mileage band for a 2012 Isuzu D-MAX (around 15-20k km/year). At average usage, expect normal-wear consumables to need attention — brakes, tires, fluids — but no major-component surprises if the service interval has been followed.

Ciudad Choluteca, Choluteca is a smaller market — comparable Isuzu D-MAX listings are scarce, so this pickup_truck can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For this diesel Isuzu D-MAX, focus on DPF (diesel particulate filter) condition and any history of regen-cycle issues — short-trip diesels often clog DPFs early. Also check EGR cleanliness, turbocharger play, and injector codes via OBD-II. Diesel auxiliary equipment (glow plugs, fuel filter) wears on a schedule independent of the engine.

Insurance in Honduras is a private-carrier market. For a mid-tier Isuzu D-MAX in Choluteca, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Ciudad Choluteca rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Choluteca for the same Isuzu.

Diesel fuel in Honduras typically runs near or just under gasoline. This D-MAX's real advantage is fuel economy on long highway runs — for short-trip city use, a diesel's break-even versus a gasoline equivalent is many years out.

This is a private-seller listing. For a mid-tier purchase like this Isuzu D-MAX, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Choluteca, Honduras, you'll need the local title-equivalent paperwork, the seller's ID, and proof of any annual road-tax or circulation-permit payment. Verify the exact requirements with Choluteca's transit authority before listing day — they vary by province / state.

Isuzu D-MAXs in the older-age band typically lose 5-10% per year of remaining value — the curve flattens compared to the first few years. Service history is the single biggest swing factor between an average asking price and a strong one in Honduras.

On a mid-tier listing in a smaller market like Ciudad Choluteca, Choluteca, sellers often hold firmer on price because comparable Isuzu D-MAXs are scarce. Lead with your timing (ready-to-buy) and your willingness to handle transfer paperwork — a frictionless transaction is sometimes worth a few percent to the seller.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Isuzu D-MAX, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Honduras: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Honduras uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
