Renault Twingo • 2009 • 145,500 km • € 2500 EUR

This 2009 Renault Twingo is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 2009 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 2009 Renault — most Twingos of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in Portugal).

Aldeia Das Dez, Coimbra is a smaller market — comparable Renault Twingo listings are scarce, so this sedan can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For an older Renault Twingo like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Insurance in Portugal is a private-carrier market. For a entry-tier Renault Twingo in Coimbra, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Aldeia Das Dez rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Coimbra for the same Renault.

Gasoline pricing in Portugal is moderate. For this Twingo, expect monthly fuel cost to scale roughly with kilometers driven and the manufacturer-rated economy minus 10-15% for real-world conditions.

In Coimbra, Portugal, you'll need the original title signed over by the seller, a bill of sale, a current emissions / safety inspection where required by Coimbra, a VIN-match verification, and proof of insurance to take possession. The state DMV or motor-vehicle agency processes the transfer; many do it the same day.

A 16+ year-old Renault Twingo is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.
