1963 Maserati 5000 GT Allemano Very extensive restoration with a stable engine - Only 34 were produced and only 22 with the Allemano body - First owner was the actor Stewart Granger This Maserati 5000 GT was ordered by the US-British actor Stewart Granger, who is best known in Germany for his role as Old Surehand in the Karl May film adaptation. Due to engine problems, which unfortunately all 5000 GT had, it was soon "abandoned" by Stewart Granger. After a very long and meticulous restoration, the car is now fully drivable. The engine overhaul alone took a decade. Many components on the engine have been renewed to reflect the current state of the art. The unit is now stable, suitable for everyday use and achieved around 400 hp on a test stand. It is probably the only really stable example of a Maserati 5000 GT.
