This 2012 Nissan Maxima is 8-15 years old — value-priced daily-driver territory. Mechanical condition matters far more than cosmetics at this age. Ask for the most recent timing-belt/chain interval, suspension work, and any major repairs. A documented one-owner Maxima in this range is a stronger buy than a higher-trim with unknown history.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 2012 Nissan — most Maximas of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in United States (USA)).

Los Angeles, California has one of the deeper United States (USA) markets for sedans. Comparable Nissan Maxima listings here usually number in the dozens, so buyers can be picky. Price competitively, photograph thoroughly, and respond to messages within a few hours — listings that don't get fast replies fall out of saved-search results in this market.

For an older Nissan Maxima like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Insurance in California, United States (USA) is state-regulated, so rates vary more by ZIP / driver profile than by Nissan Maxima alone. As a rough anchor, a entry-tier vehicle in this age band usually quotes between $700-2,000/year for full coverage. Liability-only is much cheaper for older / lower-value listings.

Gasoline pricing in United States (USA) is moderate. For this Maxima, expect monthly fuel cost to scale roughly with kilometers driven and the manufacturer-rated economy minus 10-15% for real-world conditions.

This is a private-seller listing. For a entry-tier Nissan Maxima, most private-sale buyers in United States (USA) pay cash or arrange a personal loan with their own bank — the private seller is not set up to handle financing paperwork on the buyer's behalf. Funds typically transfer by cashier's check or wire on handoff day.

In California, United States (USA), you'll need the original title signed over by the seller, a bill of sale, a current emissions / safety inspection where required by California, a VIN-match verification, and proof of insurance to take possession. The state DMV or motor-vehicle agency processes the transfer; many do it the same day.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Nissan Maxima, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

Low kilometers for a Nissan Maxima of this year preserves resale value meaningfully — buyers in United States (USA) actively search by mileage filter. Each thousand kilometers added to the odometer between now and a future sale shaves a small but measurable amount off the next asking price.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Nissan Maxima, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in United States (USA): buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry United States (USA) uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
