This 2013 Toyota Hilux is 8-15 years old — value-priced daily-driver territory. Mechanical condition matters far more than cosmetics at this age. Ask for the most recent timing-belt/chain interval, suspension work, and any major repairs. A documented one-owner Hilux in this range is a stronger buy than a higher-trim with unknown history.

This listing is above the typical mileage band for a 2013 Toyota — most Hiluxs of this age sit around 15-20k km/year. High-mileage doesn't disqualify the Hilux but does mean major service items (timing components, suspension, clutch on manuals) are likely due. Price should reflect that.

Quito, Pichincha is a smaller market — comparable Toyota Hilux listings are scarce, so this car can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For this diesel Toyota Hilux, focus on DPF (diesel particulate filter) condition and any history of regen-cycle issues — short-trip diesels often clog DPFs early. Also check EGR cleanliness, turbocharger play, and injector codes via OBD-II. Diesel auxiliary equipment (glow plugs, fuel filter) wears on a schedule independent of the engine.

Ecuador requires SOAT (or its local equivalent) — basic third-party liability included with annual registration. For a premium-tier Toyota Hilux, full-coverage private insurance on top usually runs 3-7% of the vehicle's market value per year. Quote with two or three carriers before listing day; rates vary widely by Pichincha.

Diesel fuel is cheaper than gasoline in Ecuador, so this Hilux is a cost-effective choice — especially for high-kilometer drivers. Diesels also tend to hold torque better at altitude, which matters in mountainous Ecuador regions.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Toyota Hilux, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Pichincha, Ecuador, you'll need the local title-equivalent paperwork, the seller's ID, and proof of any annual road-tax or circulation-permit payment. Verify the exact requirements with Pichincha's transit authority before listing day — they vary by province / state.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Toyota Hilux, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

Resale on a higher-kilometer Toyota Hilux tracks lower than the model-year average. From here, expect the value curve to be set by the next 1-2 major service items more than by calendar depreciation — a fresh timing belt, a fresh clutch, a recent tire set are the prose levers that hold value at trade-in time.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Toyota Hilux, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Ecuador: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Ecuador uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
