Maelezo

This top-of-the-range Impreza is in absolutely flawless, showroom condition, having been professionally detailed. * MotorOne's lifetime protective coating was professionally applied to all inside and outside surfaces when I bought the car new. * Reason for sale - Bought a new car When you see it, you’ll think it’s a brand new car. My wife (who is 69 year old) and I (am 68) have been the only drivers of the car since new. There has never been a smoker in the car. We have taken meticulous care of the car, keeping all receipts; and it’s still under warranty. We already have a small hatchback (Toyota Corolla) so we don’t need 2 similar cars. The new car we bought is just bigger. We love the sure-footedness of its 4-wheel drive, the fact that the back seat folds flat makes it like a small wagon, and the fuel economy is surprisingly better than our Toyota Corolla despite having all wheel drive. Since the government raised the threshold from $30,000 to $150,000 for expensing, it was the perfect time for us to get a new car. Otherwise we had expected to keep the Subaru for years since everything works perfectly and we have had no problems with the car.

Frequently asked questions

This 2016 Subaru Impreza is 8-15 years old — value-priced daily-driver territory. Mechanical condition matters far more than cosmetics at this age. Ask for the most recent timing-belt/chain interval, suspension work, and any major repairs. A documented one-owner Impreza in this range is a stronger buy than a higher-trim with unknown history.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 2016 Subaru — most Imprezas of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in Australia).

Perth, Western Australia is a smaller market — comparable Subaru Impreza listings are scarce, so this hatchback can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For an older Subaru Impreza like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Insurance in Australia is a private-carrier market. For a premium-tier Subaru Impreza in Western Australia, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Perth rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Western Australia for the same Subaru.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Subaru Impreza, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Subaru Impreza, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

Low kilometers for a Subaru Impreza of this year preserves resale value meaningfully — buyers in Australia actively search by mileage filter. Each thousand kilometers added to the odometer between now and a future sale shaves a small but measurable amount off the next asking price.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Subaru Impreza, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Australia: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Australia uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
