Frequently asked questions

This 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 1989 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

Ejido, Merida is a smaller market — comparable Toyota Land Cruiser listings are scarce, so this car can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

Insurance in Venezuela is a private-carrier market. For a premium-tier Toyota Land Cruiser in Merida, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Ejido rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Merida for the same Toyota.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Toyota Land Cruiser, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Merida, Venezuela, you'll need the local title-equivalent paperwork, the seller's ID, and proof of any annual road-tax or circulation-permit payment. Verify the exact requirements with Merida's transit authority before listing day — they vary by province / state.

A 16+ year-old Toyota Land Cruiser is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Toyota Land Cruiser, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Venezuela: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Venezuela uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
