Frequently asked questions

This 2004 Land Rover Range Rover is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 2004 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 2004 Land Rover — most Range Rovers of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in Ghana).

Dome, Greater Accra is a smaller market — comparable Land Rover Range Rover listings are scarce, so this suv can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For this diesel Land Rover Range Rover, focus on DPF (diesel particulate filter) condition and any history of regen-cycle issues — short-trip diesels often clog DPFs early. Also check EGR cleanliness, turbocharger play, and injector codes via OBD-II. Diesel auxiliary equipment (glow plugs, fuel filter) wears on a schedule independent of the engine.

Insurance in Ghana is a private-carrier market. For a premium-tier Land Rover Range Rover in Greater Accra, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Dome rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Greater Accra for the same Land Rover.

Diesel fuel in Ghana typically runs near or just under gasoline. This Range Rover's real advantage is fuel economy on long highway runs — for short-trip city use, a diesel's break-even versus a gasoline equivalent is many years out.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Land Rover Range Rover, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Greater Accra, Ghana, you'll need the original title signed over by the seller, a bill of sale, a current emissions / safety inspection where required by Greater Accra, a VIN-match verification, and proof of insurance to take possession. The state DMV or motor-vehicle agency processes the transfer; many do it the same day.

A 16+ year-old Land Rover Range Rover is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.
