Chrysler Voyager • 1980 • 1,000 km • $ 16000 MXN

This 1980 Chrysler Voyager is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 1980 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 1980 Chrysler — most Voyagers of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in Mexico).

Ecatepec, Mexico has one of the deeper Mexico markets for sedans. Comparable Chrysler Voyager listings here usually number in the dozens, so buyers can be picky. Price competitively, photograph thoroughly, and respond to messages within a few hours — listings that don't get fast replies fall out of saved-search results in this market.

For an older Chrysler Voyager like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Insurance in Mexico is a private-carrier market. For a premium-tier Chrysler Voyager in Mexico, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Ecatepec rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Mexico for the same Chrysler.

Gasoline pricing in Mexico is moderate. For this Voyager, expect monthly fuel cost to scale roughly with kilometers driven and the manufacturer-rated economy minus 10-15% for real-world conditions.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Chrysler Voyager, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Mexico, Mexico, you'll need the factura (original sales invoice), the most recent tenencia / refrendo receipt, the predial-update letter for the seller's address, a clean credit-bureau check, and the seller's ID. Tenencia transfers vary by state — Mexico City and CDMX-suburbs charge differently.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Chrysler Voyager, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

A 16+ year-old Chrysler Voyager is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Chrysler Voyager, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Mexico: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Mexico uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
