Mazda B-Fighter • 2004 • 200,000 km • € 2000 EUR

This 2004 Mazda B-Fighter is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 2004 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing falls in the typical mileage band for a 2004 Mazda B-Fighter (around 15-20k km/year). At average usage, expect normal-wear consumables to need attention — brakes, tires, fluids — but no major-component surprises if the service interval has been followed.

Lisbon, Lisbon is a smaller market — comparable Mazda B-Fighter listings are scarce, so this sedan can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For this diesel Mazda B-Fighter, focus on DPF (diesel particulate filter) condition and any history of regen-cycle issues — short-trip diesels often clog DPFs early. Also check EGR cleanliness, turbocharger play, and injector codes via OBD-II. Diesel auxiliary equipment (glow plugs, fuel filter) wears on a schedule independent of the engine.

Insurance in Portugal is a private-carrier market. For a entry-tier Mazda B-Fighter in Lisbon, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Lisbon rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Lisbon for the same Mazda.

Diesel fuel in Portugal typically runs near or just under gasoline. This B-Fighter's real advantage is fuel economy on long highway runs — for short-trip city use, a diesel's break-even versus a gasoline equivalent is many years out.

This is a private-seller listing. For a entry-tier Mazda B-Fighter, most private-sale buyers in Portugal pay cash or arrange a personal loan with their own bank — the private seller is not set up to handle financing paperwork on the buyer's behalf. Funds typically transfer by cashier's check or wire on handoff day.

In Lisbon, Portugal, you'll need the original title signed over by the seller, a bill of sale, a current emissions / safety inspection where required by Lisbon, a VIN-match verification, and proof of insurance to take possession. The state DMV or motor-vehicle agency processes the transfer; many do it the same day.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Mazda B-Fighter, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

A 16+ year-old Mazda B-Fighter is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Mazda B-Fighter, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Portugal: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Portugal uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
