Frequently asked questions

This 1995 Honda Civic del Sol is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 1995 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing falls in the typical mileage band for a 1995 Honda Civic del Sol (around 15-20k km/year). At average usage, expect normal-wear consumables to need attention — brakes, tires, fluids — but no major-component surprises if the service interval has been followed.

Vevey, Vaud is a smaller market — comparable Honda Civic del Sol listings are scarce, so this coupe can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For an older Honda Civic del Sol like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Insurance in Switzerland is a private-carrier market. For a mid-tier Honda Civic del Sol in Vaud, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Vevey rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Vaud for the same Honda.

Gasoline pricing in Switzerland is moderate. For this Civic del Sol, expect monthly fuel cost to scale roughly with kilometers driven and the manufacturer-rated economy minus 10-15% for real-world conditions.

This is a private-seller listing. For a mid-tier purchase like this Honda Civic del Sol, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Vaud, Switzerland, you'll need the original title signed over by the seller, a bill of sale, a current emissions / safety inspection where required by Vaud, a VIN-match verification, and proof of insurance to take possession. The state DMV or motor-vehicle agency processes the transfer; many do it the same day.

A 16+ year-old Honda Civic del Sol is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.

On a mid-tier listing in a smaller market like Vevey, Vaud, sellers often hold firmer on price because comparable Honda Civic del Sols are scarce. Lead with your timing (ready-to-buy) and your willingness to handle transfer paperwork — a frictionless transaction is sometimes worth a few percent to the seller.
