Frequently asked questions

This 2005 Nissan X-trail extreme is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 2005 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 2005 Nissan — most X-trail extremes of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in Dominican Republic).

Santo Domingo Oeste, Santo Domingo is a smaller market — comparable Nissan X-trail extreme listings are scarce, so this car can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For an older Nissan X-trail extreme like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Dominican Republic requires SOAT (or its local equivalent) — basic third-party liability included with annual registration. For a premium-tier Nissan X-trail extreme, full-coverage private insurance on top usually runs 3-7% of the vehicle's market value per year. Quote with two or three carriers before listing day; rates vary widely by Santo Domingo.

Gasoline pricing in Dominican Republic is moderate. For this X-trail extreme, expect monthly fuel cost to scale roughly with kilometers driven and the manufacturer-rated economy minus 10-15% for real-world conditions.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Nissan X-trail extreme, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, you'll need the local title-equivalent paperwork, the seller's ID, and proof of any annual road-tax or circulation-permit payment. Verify the exact requirements with Santo Domingo's transit authority before listing day — they vary by province / state.

A 16+ year-old Nissan X-trail extreme is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.
