Fiat Tipo • 2022 • 149,000 km • $ 12500 USD

This 2022 Fiat Tipo is in the 3-7 year sweet spot — past the steepest depreciation, modern enough to share parts with current generations, usually still serviceable through manufacturer-recommended schedules. Most Fiats in this range hold value well if service history is documented.

This listing is above the typical mileage band for a 2022 Fiat — most Tipos of this age sit around 15-20k km/year. High-mileage doesn't disqualify the Tipo but does mean major service items (timing components, suspension, clutch on manuals) are likely due. Price should reflect that.

Braga, Braga is a smaller market — comparable Fiat Tipo listings are scarce, so this sedan can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For this diesel Fiat Tipo, focus on DPF (diesel particulate filter) condition and any history of regen-cycle issues — short-trip diesels often clog DPFs early. Also check EGR cleanliness, turbocharger play, and injector codes via OBD-II. Diesel auxiliary equipment (glow plugs, fuel filter) wears on a schedule independent of the engine.

Insurance in Portugal is a private-carrier market. For a mid-tier Fiat Tipo in Braga, expect 4-8% of the market value per year for full coverage. The biggest cost-driver is the city — Braga rates can be meaningfully higher than rural Braga for the same Fiat.

Diesel fuel in Portugal typically runs near or just under gasoline. This Tipo's real advantage is fuel economy on long highway runs — for short-trip city use, a diesel's break-even versus a gasoline equivalent is many years out.

This is a private-seller listing. For a mid-tier purchase like this Fiat Tipo, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Braga, Portugal, you'll need the original title signed over by the seller, a bill of sale, a current emissions / safety inspection where required by Braga, a VIN-match verification, and proof of insurance to take possession. The state DMV or motor-vehicle agency processes the transfer; many do it the same day.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Fiat Tipo, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

Resale on a higher-kilometer Fiat Tipo tracks lower than the model-year average. From here, expect the value curve to be set by the next 1-2 major service items more than by calendar depreciation — a fresh timing belt, a fresh clutch, a recent tire set are the prose levers that hold value at trade-in time.

On a mid-tier listing in a smaller market like Braga, Braga, sellers often hold firmer on price because comparable Fiat Tipos are scarce. Lead with your timing (ready-to-buy) and your willingness to handle transfer paperwork — a frictionless transaction is sometimes worth a few percent to the seller.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Fiat Tipo, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Portugal: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Portugal uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
