Nissan Murano • 2005 • 128,800 km • $ 15000 USD

This 2005 Nissan Murano is 16+ years old, which moves it into project / collectible / hand-me-down territory. Pricing in this band has more to do with condition and rarity than age. Inspect for rust, frame integrity, and electrical wear — none of which the 2005 fuel-economy spec sheet will warn you about.

This listing is below the typical mileage band for a 2005 Nissan — most Muranos of this age show closer to 15-20k km/year. Low mileage is a price-supporting attribute but verify the odometer hasn't been rolled back (check service records and inspection-station logs in Ecuador).

Quito, Pichincha is a smaller market — comparable Nissan Murano listings are scarce, so this suv can carry a small premium for buyers who can't find local alternatives. Be transparent about condition; buyers who travel for a listing typically expect what they see in the photos.

For an older Nissan Murano like this one, prioritize: timing belt/chain interval (ask for the last replacement receipt), suspension bushings and shocks, brake-fluid condition, transmission service history, and rust on the rocker panels and subframe. A pre-purchase inspection at an independent shop pays for itself many times over at this age.

Ecuador requires SOAT (or its local equivalent) — basic third-party liability included with annual registration. For a premium-tier Nissan Murano, full-coverage private insurance on top usually runs 3-7% of the vehicle's market value per year. Quote with two or three carriers before listing day; rates vary widely by Pichincha.

Gasoline is relatively cheap in Ecuador, so monthly fuel cost on this Murano is rarely the headline expense. Other line items — insurance, registration renewal, tires — usually outweigh it.

This is a private-seller listing. For a premium-tier purchase like this Nissan Murano, the buyer usually pre-arranges financing with their own bank or credit union — get pre-approval before contacting the seller. The seller will typically wait for funds to clear before signing over the title.

In Pichincha, Ecuador, you'll need the local title-equivalent paperwork, the seller's ID, and proof of any annual road-tax or circulation-permit payment. Verify the exact requirements with Pichincha's transit authority before listing day — they vary by province / state.

This is a private-seller listing — an individual selling their own Nissan Murano, not a business. Treat it like any other person-to-person purchase: meet in a safe public location (a police-station parking lot is the gold standard), verify the seller's ID against the title before any money changes hands, and never wire funds before seeing the vehicle in person.

A 16+ year-old Nissan Murano is past its depreciation trough — pricing from here is condition-driven, not age-driven. Documented examples of desirable trims can appreciate; rough examples stay flat or depreciate as parts availability tightens. Set the price by recent comparable sold prices, not by asking prices.

If the seller still owes a bank or finance company against this Nissan Murano, the title has a lien recorded. Do NOT hand over funds before the lien is released. Standard practice in Ecuador: buyer's bank pays the lender directly for the loan balance and pays the seller for the remainder, with the lender's release letter arriving alongside the new title. Verify the lien status through whatever public registry Ecuador uses (DMV / DETRAN / Registro Civil / etc.) before agreeing to a purchase price.
